20 måndag sep
Tidpunkt: måndag 20 september 2010
Plats: Slussplan 9, Stockholm

National elections tend to focus heavily on domestic issues such as jobs and the economy. Yet the outcome on September 19 will doubtlessly will have a number of international consequences – not least when it comes to how the rest of the world perceives Sweden. How will the world react, for instance, if a xenophobic party gains a seat in parliament? What will happen with the troops in Afghanistan? Will there be renewed efforts to introduce the euro? What can we expect when it comes to diplomatic and trade relations with China, Russia, Great Britain and the United States?

On 20th september between 2 pm - 2.45 pm Chief Pollster Carl Melin at United Minds will present the election results as an introduction. Thereafter Olle Wästberg, the former director-general of the Swedish Institute and UK Ambassador Andrew Mitchell discuss these and other pressing international matters in the wake of Sweden’s general elections. Prime’s Billy McCormac will moderate the discussion.

The remainder of Prime’s election wrap-up will be held in Swedish from 3 o´clock. Click here for more information about the entire program (in Swedish).
